About Stylist Studio

Mary Murphy opened Stylist Studio as a business in 1994 and it has been in Carytown for over 20 years.

Mary is a Registered Nurse. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Virginia- MCV in 1983.

She worked as full time nurse up until 1994. At that time she learned Electrolysis and worked that that on the side.

Gradually she attained enough Electrolysis clients that she could do that full time and Nursing became part time.
Until 2008 she continued doing both and then moved in to doing only Electrolysis.

In 2014 she trained for Laser and started providing Laser Hair Removal services.

She also provides hair styling services which she learned in 2004.
